PhotoShop Picture Retouching #2
This one is a quicky. It simple shows you how to make a photom
which looks a bit "unhappy", more lively. Its very simple
and fast to do.
Here we got a picture I took while in China, the weather wasnt
espially great, but yeah we can change that.

Thats the start-off image. Take whatever
you want, for beginners a landscape similar to the one above
would be easiest

|
First off all, cut out the background.
Either by using the Magic Wand Tool(press W), or by manually
"cutting it out" using the eraser. If you use the
magic wand tool, and the edges are too sharp, select the cut
out area, and expand it by about 1cm. (Select>Modify>Expand
and enter a value of around 25), now apply the Gaussion Blur
Filter (Filters>Blur>Gaussian Blur). Enter a value which
smooths out the line a bit, so it looks more "natural".

|
|
Now get a nice "happy" background, I used
some blue sky with clouds. Place this image behind your
landscape layer, and voila your done. If your landscape
looks too dark or too light, use the Brighness/Contrast
tool (Image>Tools>Brightness/Contrast) to either increase
or decrease the brightness of your image, so it looks more
real.
Here we are, wasnt it nice in China?
